Foresight Genetic Testing
The report results are based on the ClinVar clinical genetic testing database provided by the National Center for Bioinformatics. We use this database to evaluate together with Insight’s proprietary program analysis. Gene variation and disease-causing risk index correlate with genotype and disease risk. In addition, it is also supported by the GENOME-WIDE ASSOCIATION STUDY (GWAS), which lists the gene loci related to diseases or traits and the genes that cause abnormal biosynthesis of proteins in the body. As the evidence supports the particular gene, the higher the gene mutations, the higher the disease occurs.
